Pre-lasik assessment

So apa yang aku buat 21.1.2014

Fist aku memnag kena datang awal, bertolak dari rumah jam 6.30 am, sebab tak nak stuck dalam jam, waze sangat membantu, sampai sana dlm 7.30am. Too early to even went in there so we find a place for breaskfast.

There is one mamak stall nearby ( infront of the chocolate shop)
Ok la.. me mmg x suka mamak sgt.. kalau suka pun roti nan.

Then we went there and register at lobby 2.

Lepas register naik tingkat 3,  klinik mata at one end and lasik centre at another end.

Me with happy face at Lasik eye centre

Few test yang dibuat di klinik mata

1.     Autorefraction - mesin yang macam biasa kat kedai cermin mata tu, utk anggar power mata.

During one of the test.. ni lanun sesat..haha

( ubat ni sebabkan I kabur 5 jam, huhu…).

Bila nak jumpa Prof Muhaya tu macam nervous juga, sebab I kinda like her and adore what she is doing, so now I can meet her in person, yay!

Bila jumpa Prof, I have to do extra test ( visual field) sebab one of my scan ada problem sikit. So I have to come back another day..

So those yang nak buat lasik, do not worry, memang akan diperiksa sepenuhnya. Jika tak sesuai memang Prof takkan buat. Tapi jika sesuai Prof akan encourage untuk buat, sebab Prof dah buat pada ramai pesakit and she can see how this procedure do wonders to them.

Nanti I cerita what happen on my lasik day ya :)

Why I decided to go for lasik?

Aku dah lama pakai contact lens and cermin mata. Aku akui, habit contact lens aku sangat teruk.

Restoran ZZ Sup Tulang - Must go!

Selepas some googling done ( thanks to Mr Google) kami start cari restaurant ni.

Nasib baik kami google dulu, then kami tahu ada 2 restaurant yang nama serupa tapi totally unrelated. Satu dekat hospital JB, yg tu mainly famous fo nasi beriani gam. But we are looking for this:

Mainly mee rebus tulang ( kat pic yng bawah). Mee rebus tulang ni guna tulang gearbox, gearbox kambing kot sbb cam kecik je, lupa nak tanya.. ( siapa tau tolong bgtau)
Immy order sup tulang gearbox. Tapi mesti korang takkan agree malahan ketawa dgn kami... sbb beria-ia cari retaurant ni untuk makan menu gearbox dia tapi both of us tak sedut pun dlm gearbox tu... we are so afraid of the fat ( that is what we think.. full of fats ).

Sempat snap lps dah separuh jalan, sbb sebelum tu sarah nak main camera.
Ada juga tempat yg boleh lepak2 atas lantai.. tapi kalau time sejuk rasanya tak best kot, especially bagi org yang takut sejuk (macam I..haha)
Licin Immy kerjakan.. tapi kami x sedut dlm.

Petrosains For the kiddos

Kalau anak2 dah besar sikit, mesti sibuk nak cari aktiviti hujung minggu kan? This time, kami pergi petrosains. Tema kali ni dialogue in the dark.
Mula-mula macam tak yakin boleh ke my kids benefit from this trip, especially Sarah sbb baru 2yrs+. Takut kebanyakan tak sesuai dengan umurnya. Kami bayangkan petrosains ni ala-ala muzium, pameran bahan2 sains....

Dalam gondola dilarang ambil gambar.. so x de gambarnya.

Kids can do simple experiment here.. maybe mereka tak faham sepenuhnya, but they will enjoy it. Like this mirror, apabila dilaraskan mengikut angle yang berbeza , bilangan image yang terhasil berbeza. Qis was saying, "wahh... ramainya Qis!"

Tak ingat nama seksyen ni, tapi banyak belajar mengenai teori tenaga di sini.

They have megablocks..

This mirror give infinity image.. cuba tengok image yang terhasil, berturutan dan macam tiada ending.

Sebenarnya banyak lagi aktiviti, sometimes x sempat snap pic sbb enjoying the activity. Sebenarnya tempat ni memang sesuai untuk semua peringkat umur. From small kids, school children, kalau nak dating berdua kat tempat ni pun boleh. Boleh try permainan bersama2..must be fun!

Tiket pun actually rasanya sangat berpatutan. RM30 untuk family package, 2 adult and 2 children. Spend dalam 3 jam tau kat dalam ni, tu pun x go through everything properly, kalau really bawa anak yang masih bersekolah untuk fun learning, rasanya 1 hari suntuk pun tak habis. Jadi kalau anak memang minat sains boleh beli ada season pass for few times entry kalau tak silap.

So, jom.. plan ur weekend here!

Little Caliph Putra Heights

Maryam Qistina went to playschool at 3-yrs-old, Little Caliph. Back then, we send Qistina to school just to give her some exposure, socialize. Our community now not like when we were young before. Now full of insecure. people can just grab your child from the street, and ZAPP!! your kids can just vanished forever..

Now, is the third year Qistina schooling, and Maisarah will be 3-yrs-old soon. I enrolled her to the same program, in the same school. Mainly for her to socialize also.

Why I choose Little Caliph?

The program based on english and islamic
The program teaches doa and solat
The program let the kids play, teaching according to kids ability
The program do not push kids for learning and learning and learning

I want them to enjoy

Cermin Mata Ajaib?

In english they will say this as 'therapy eye wear'. Bila terjemah bahasa melayu, jadi cermin mata ajaib..

Come on... terjemah la elok2 sikit.. mana ada cermin, kan plastik je tu.

Perhaps the most famous proponent of the Bates method was the British writer Aldous Huxley. At the age of sixteen Huxley had an attack of keratitis, which, after an 18-month period of near-blindness, left him with one eye just capable of light perception and the other with an unaided Snellen fraction of 10/200. This was mainly due to opacities in both corneas, complicated by hyperopia and astigmatism. He was able to read only if he wore thick glasses and dilated his better pupil with atropine, to allow that eye to see around an opacity in the center of the cornea.[27]
In 1939, at the age of 45 and with eyesight which continued to deteriorate, he happened to hear of the Bates method and sought the help of Margaret Corbett, who gave him regular lessons.[27] Three years later he wrote The Art of Seeing, in which he related: "Within a couple of months I was reading without spectacles and, what was better still, without strain and fatigue... At the present time, my vision, though very far from normal, is about twice as good as it used to be when I wore spectacles".[28] Describing the process, Huxley wrote that "Vision is not won by making an effort to get it: it comes to those who have learned to put their minds and eyes into a state of alert passivity, of dynamic relaxation." He expressed indifference regarding the veracity of Bates' explanation of how the eye focuses, stating that "my concern is not with the anatomical mechanism of accommodation, but with the art of seeing".[2]
His case generated wide publicity as well as scrutiny. Ophthalmologist Walter B. Lancaster, for example, suggested in 1944 that Huxley had "learned how to use what he has to better advantage" by training the "cerebral part of seeing", rather than actually improving the quality of the image on the retina.[2]
In 1952, ten years after writing The Art of Seeing, Huxley spoke at a Hollywood banquet, wearing no glasses and, according to Bennett Cerf, apparently reading his paper from the lectern without difficulty. In Cerf's words:
Then suddenly he faltered—and the disturbing truth became obvious. He wasn't reading his address at all. He had learned it by heart. To refresh his memory he brought the paper closer and closer to his eyes. When it was only an inch or so away he still couldn't read it, and had to fish for a magnifying glass in his pocket to make the typing visible to him. It was an agonizing moment.[1]
In response to this, Huxley wrote "I often do use magnifying glasses where conditions of light are bad, and have never claimed to be able to read except under very good conditions."[29] This underscored that he had not regained anything close to normal vision, and in fact never claimed that he had

My advise:
Penggunaan alat ni membantu sementara sahaja.. bukan pemulihan kekal .
